Find Me @ The Star!

Happy New Year! πŸ™‚

Yes, I know I still owe a ‘proper’ New Year post – the one about wrapping 2007 up and my insights into 2008. I’ve been working around the clock on IMGuerilla with Vince Tan and the launch day is just tomorrow!

I’ve also yet to add a couple more new photos to the previous post on the Life Changing Party but I promise I’ll get back to that after IMGuerilla successfully launches.

However, I’m not passing up the chance to proudly announce that… an article on my Internet Marketing career was published in the local papers today!

Check this out! πŸ™‚

Edmund Loh @ The Star

Edmund Loh @ The Star

If you’re staying in Malaysia and you’re grabbing a copy of The Star paper today, you can find my article in the EDUCATION section – on Page E4, to be exact. There’s also a partial mention of my upcoming launch, IMGuerilla, in the newspaper article.

Yep! I was interviewed by The Star some couple of weeks back (thanks Sarah Chew!) on my Internet Marketing career and theme was ‘interesting careers’. If you’re a practicing Internet Marketer and Online Entrepreneur, sure you know it too. πŸ˜‰

I couldn’t help but notice that some parts of the content was a little bit ‘way off’ and some of the information transcribed on the paper was not accurate. Some parts of it could use better choice of words, too, in my opinion. However, I’m still satisfied with how it turned out, as long as the main message is conveyed and that’s the most important bottom-line.

I am very happy that the article got published and the feeling sure is great! πŸ™‚ Previously, I never knew what it’s like to appear on any section of the paper, but just know it sure is a great feeling. Just never thought I would experience it, and sooner than expected. I also hope that the article has helped and inspired the readers as well in positive ways.

Now to strive for appearing on the front page (for the right reasons). 😎

You can see the online version of the article here too.

*** UPDATE 9th January 2008: *** I had been busy with the IMGuerilla launch but I would like to take this 5 minutes to thank everyone – friends, family and ‘comrades’ – for sending me your congrats! Thanks for the e-mails, messages and SMSes because they’re truly motivating too! πŸ™‚ Thank you once again!

(Laughs) It’s funny. I skipped all the other news just to read yours.
But when I come to it, I noticed that the back of your page was reporting on a man who used to catch worms when he was a child.
    A totally different thing!
    Anyway, congratulations!
I hope your business will expand and you’ll be in the news more often! (Laughs)

Oh ya. The content was not 100% accurate as you said. You didn’t dropped out of school. You just missed out 3 months of school.

    Congratulations Edmund!

Good publicity for the offline readers to know more Malaysian who make money online (lots of money).

Can’t help on the editing part unless it is too much way out of the original interview contents. But again it is still better than NST which edit most of the interview contents (you can check out Gobala how worst are they).

    Viola to 2008!

    Ashley,
Yes like I said not all the information was accurate. However as you know, there’s more to a person’s life story than it could be summarized in just a few words, or a page. The article turned out fine overall, nonetheless, and the most important thing is the main message is conveyed correctly. Thanks!

    Siah,
Cool thanks! Have fun in Singapore! πŸ˜‰

    Steven,
Thanks! Yeah I heard about the ruckus about our good buddy Gobi and the NST. But hey, he’s still got good coverage and publicity in the local media! 😎

    Melvin,
Thanks man! Let’s go shooting on the next outing too.

    Syia & Sern Yi,
Thanks for dropping by as well! πŸ™‚

    Hey Zamri,
Thanks for coming by! Yeah it’s strange – I’ve heard about you for a long time already but even though we’re both in the same country we haven’t met up until now. πŸ˜›

If and when I come by Penang, I’ll give you a heads up! A lot of folks I met told me they have high regards for you. πŸ™‚

    Hey Maylene,
Thanks for coming by as well – yeah at one time I was wishing I could too. But I’m sure that once you get past the ‘wishing’ stage, you’ll be living its lifestyle too, and I hope you get to that ideal stage! πŸ™‚
