For real.
When one of my WW2 Reenactor buddies alerted us to a Tiger I tank in Malaysia, I didn’t believe it.
To be exact, it’s a prop – because real ones are very rare in the world, with only 1 working tank still working. We also don’t think it’s a true 1:1 scale but even for a prop, it’s considered good.
This Tiger I tank prop sits in front of the Malaya Kawan cafe in Kuala Lumpur. So I made a day trip over from Johor – had a lunch meet with the other WW2 Reenactors that I haven’t caught up in ages, and of course the main attraction was the photo op with said tank.
So finally, I got to realize my panzer dream! Always wanted to take photo in front of a Panzer in uniform, and somehow “law of attraction” worked its magic, even though it took more than a decade.
Too bad, we couldn’t climb the ‘tank’ because as a prop, it might not support our weight and we might damage it. Still, this is as close as it can get – and I’m satisfied.
