Escape PJ @ Paradigm Mall

Early this year, I wanted to go to Escape PJ when I learned they opened very nearby (Paradigm Mall is literally a walk away) but came fake pandemic measure MCO 2.0.

Now that most of Malaysia has reopened again – and so did Escape PJ – I checked out the place this weekend. If you buy your tickets online, you can save anywhere from 10% to 20% on the fee depending on how early you book.

The experience is worth it, and even though we’ve spent a good 3 hours here, we did not get to try out every obstacle course. Partly due to the weekend crowd as well.

Will definitely come back a second time!

34!

34 years. Wawasan 2020.

For years I’ve been imagining what I’d be like and doing by this time. Not quite what I thought.

That there would be a global pandemic this year.

That a lot of businesses would be affected or go out like never before.

That it would also be a very challenging time even for me.

That I would be forced to do a lot of things differently than ever before.

But I believe that tough times don’t last; tough people do.

P.S. Spent the day shooting more videos in the office for Facebook Ads, YouTube Ads and sales videos. With a lot of places closed anyway, what else is there to do?

FRIM Skywalk

Checked out the new Forest Skywalk at FRIM!

The new skywalk attraction opened since Merdeka Day, which is just less than a month ago. Even though we arrived early at 8 in the morning, we waited for 1 1/2 hours as the queue was long – if you want to avoid the crowd, pick weekdays.

Oh, and the whole “social distancing” BS procedure dampened the experience (shouldn’t it be called physical distancing?)

However I still think there will be a permanent limit to the number of people climbing the skywalk at any given time because of the limited space and structure integrity.

The skywalk experience was about 20 minutes. The 50m height attraction was full (and limited spots too), but the 15m height route was quite enough. In fact, it elevates up to around 30+ meters in height, and with the 50m height just being climbing upwards with nowhere else to walk on, the base 15m height route was quite enough. You’ll know if you go.

Blast From The Past (2001-2003)

I was clearing up boxes at home when I came across a stack of old CDs. It took me effort to find a laptop with CD drive just so I can open a treasure trove of old files and photos from the past.

(Can’t believe I am saying that, I mean, it’s hard to accept that CDs are obsolete now, just as floppy disks and cassettes before it!)

I took very few photos of myself before the age of smart phones. I don’t think I even took a single video back then! Which makes the few photos like these all the more precious to me.

I won’t show them all though; more than half a lifetime later and some are still embarrassing reminders, hahaha!
