February Updates 2

1. I had a lot of reservations on how Tony Sanders and Dylan Loh were handling the launch. A lot of what they were implementing were either foreign or contradicting to what I already knew about marketing. Yet I kept my fingers crossed for most parts.

2. Then ClickBank Gamers launched better than we anticipated. It broke 6 figures in sales half past the second day. And it’s still going strong as I am writing this. Chinese New Year had never been this exciting. And I’ve learned to be less stubborn about my opinions this time.

3. I’m not stopping here. I still have a PLR Sale to do with Stephen Luc on the 15th of this month. We have a side project on site flipping to work on later.

4. And Elle? We got a business date – CPA.

5. 10th March? That’s the day I’m launching my online coaching program on a world wide web scale.

6. I’m having my new goals and dreams in my mind’s crosshair. It’s been a long time I feel so fired up from within. And I feel unstoppable now.

February Updates

From the time I came back from Las Vegas I didn’t stop for anything. All the time I was goofing around last year and slumping into complacency – riddled with holidays, computer games and excess hours of sleep – I am making them up now at the start of 2011.

1. Three months ago Tony Sanders (real name not revealed) approached me for a partnership to launch a product on ClickBank that offers instant business in a box for the gaming niche. I gave it a name, ClickBank Gamers, and it was on.

2. Problem was, I had never launched a product on ClickBank before, and the ball game is a little different. The fact that ClickBank is notorious for high refund rates and not knowing a single person in the ‘ClickBank syndicate’ didn’t help with the overall morale.

3. To be honest, I nearly wanted to drop the entire the project. I should be glad Tony chose to team up with me over any other marketer, but with so many things against the odds I felt like I lost my marbles all over the floor.

4. Fortunately, I got in touch with Dylan Loh after a long time, and he agreed to be part of the launch team for ClickBank Gamers. A big reason why I went to Las Vegas, US with him. Network with the American Internet Marketers. Get into the inner circle. And we did just that.

5. I was happy to meet some of my online peers and marketing heroes face to face finally, but I was just equally disturbed by all the underground nonsense and dodgy ethics many of these market makers are pulling. It violated all the principles within my core. Just two weeks ago I wasn’t sure. Now I’m sure I wanted ClickBank Gamers to be a smashing success. And that will be just the start.

6. When I came back to Malaysia, I was greeted by yet another unpleasant news: the apartment I’m staying in right now – Casa Tropicana – has been purchased. Someone who is a banker bought the unit at the peak of its price. And paid cash in full. He or she is either very rich or very stupid. Or BOTH. It didn’t matter, because ultimately I had to move out in two months.

7. My landlady offered to sell to me initially – and made the offer TWICE. And I declined. Not that I didn’t like the place; of all the places I had moved into, this is the best so far. It’s mighty comfortable for one person. But one day, I will get married and I aspire to start a family of my own. And a 2-room apartment will not cut it. Besides, traffic here got worse in the last 6 months. It’s a sign I should move on.

8. With prices the way they are for properties in Klang Valley, many and myself forecast a real estate bubble burst – give it maybe another year. I think it’s dumb to purchase any property here at the moment, with the prices being crazy high right now. I feel they are priced way above their true value.

9. In as much as I’d like to get my own landed property right now (not to be confused with the Johor house which I bought for my mother and sister), I have to be patient. So right now I am hunting for another unit to rent temporarily. Then, I am going to look into banks auctioning off properties. If I have to foot in the cost of renovation, I might as well get base price as low as possible.

10. My mom went for an operation to remove a thyroid from near her throat, and in another couple of weeks from now she must go to the hospital in Seremban for cancer treatment. Fortunately, the cancer has been discovered in its early stages and can be eliminated permanently. It won’t be cheap, however.

11. I had achieved most of my big dreams in the last 2 years – got my family a house of their own, appeared in the newspaper, wrote my own book, and visited the countries I wanted to go badly… especially US which was achieved just recently.

To think now that all of these happened almost simultaneously. I see this as a sign to set new higher level goals, work hard and smart to achieve them.

Get a new landed property for myself – decked with a spacious “War Room”. And pursue action film making.

Personal Updates

It’s already coming to the first quarter of the year. Time really flies when you’re busy, or having fun, or both!

I’ve been posting up a lot of photos and pictures in place of my ‘text’ updates, this is really slowly turning into a photo blog! ๐Ÿ™‚

Figured it’s about time I let you in on what I’ve been doing for the past 3 months, my aspirations and what I’m planning to do! (in no particular order)

1. Forex. Progress with my ‘paper asset’ is reaaaaally slow. In fact, I made a loss on GBPUSD on the third week of March. Trend exhaustion, I was told. Really sucks when I got all my methods and filters checked like 19/20 only to find a 1/20 chance it would fail. I should be thankful my account is still intact and it didn’t blow. I’ve been staying away from the charts since, as I’m experimenting a fear-free, sure-win approach so that I can free my mind and time to pursue the growth of my Internet Business. I am not letting go of that “road to $1million” goal in Forex easily!

2. Just wrapped up my 4-Day PLR Sale with Stephen Luc! (29th March – 1st April) I closed the launch on Day 3 as it sold out by then. Together with 8 other affiliates – probably more – we made US$21,687.90 in total sales just 3 days! Great for less than a week’s work, and it surely raised the bar in our mini-launches, breaking my past record of $14747 in 3 days. Really excited with my new tested discovery on multiple Upsells and the inclusion of high ticket products as part of the selling chain. ๐Ÿ™‚

3. Now I’m looking forward to the next BIGGER – BETTER – MEANER launch I’m working with Elle. ๐Ÿ™‚ We’re targeting to launch the first PLRGold: Blowout on May 10, 2010. Will be importing over all the tried and proven strategies I’ve done with Stephen over for this launch, and this will be taking over PLRGold: Motivation’s place as the third and latest installment in my PLRGold franchise! ๐Ÿ™‚

4. 14-15th March 2010. Was in Singapore. Dylan ‘the punk’ invited me over and Jani Ghaffor’s short visit in Singapore was an excuse reason for me to come over. It’s been awhile since I last networked face-to-face with other Internet Marketers and I was curious to know of Jani’s reputation. Also paid Dylan’s new Candy Man store a visit. He blew away SGD90,000 for the entire setup of this offline business! Now you know why I have high regards for Singaporean entrepreneurs. Our counterparts are very, very unlike us here, and their thermometer for success is truly at a level higher than ours!

5. Been active in church as of lately. The last time I went to the St. Ignatius Church was in March 2003, just before I went to the UK to start my 3-year unconventional, hellish journey. It’s been 6 years I’ve not returned to this church – I’ll save this story with its unique twist of events for another time.

6. Mom and Ashley finally moved into our new Lakeview house! 25th March 2010 ought to be a historical date for our family, and should be celebrated every year. ๐Ÿ˜‰ You see, we never had our own property. My mom never did for the 49 years of her life… until now. My father had been – and still is – a very, very, very, very, very bad family leader and provider (two middle fingers up yours, laopei) and in 2003, we lost LITERALLY EVERYTHING. I am glad that over the years, we started to get everything back one-by-one: from being homeless to getting a roof over our heads for starters (read: rent), bought our own car (make that 2 now), and finally our own house!

7. While we’re on the subject of properties, I have a new dream: to become a real estate tycoon! My lifetime goal: to own 100 properties! Having played CashFlow 101 and Smart Money, I have learned that the way to truly succeed BIG TIME and become TRULY financially free is to own real estate. I’ve got the Internet Business part down pat (non-tangible business), now I’m working on my Forex investment (paper asset), and after I become wildly successful with Forex trading, it’s time to move on to the biggest game of money: real-estate (tangible asset). This will also accelerate my journey to reach my US$10million goal too. At this point, I am still not educated on real estate but I am confident in my abilities to take on any challenges that will come my way.

8. 17th – 20th April: Elle and I are going to… Jakarta! ๐Ÿ™‚ Semmy is finally getting married and our Internet Marketing bunch in Malaysia have been invited. Not sure about Vince, Melvin, Jimmy, and Khai yet – but Elle and I have already bought our flight tickets. Don’t plan to stay there for too long since Jakarta (no offense) is like a ‘post-nuclear era’ kind of place. Wouldn’t mind staying longer if it were Bali, though. ๐Ÿ˜‰

9. Another country I look forward to visiting this is Egypt! It’s exotic and I’ve always marveled at its mystery. Currently arranging my own crew to go there, targeting July!

10. Did you also know? I’m currently taking up Mandarin classes. ๐Ÿ™‚ I was embarrassed when I first walked into the Language House @ Atria, and told the clerk I am a “total banana”. Obviously she laughed at it. Haha! ๐Ÿ˜› Signed up for Level 1 Intensive Mandarin – I am taught to read, write and speak. It’s been 4 classes already, there’s a total of 12 in all for this Level, and there are 3 Levels in all. I have no problems remembering the new words I’ve learned (learning pinyin for now), but my pronunciation in Mandarin is still bad at this point. Well, keep on learning! Zai Jian! ๐Ÿ™‚

2009 Reviewed

I can really, really say that I’ve never had so much fun in a long, long time. Or rather, in my life! ๐Ÿ™‚ The last 2 months have been sky high for me. And looking back, Year 2009 has been the greatest year for me to date.

It had been challenging. It had been exciting. And I gained a lot of new experience in so many things I would have never even thought of trying, or getting into.

It’s easy to understand why when I review and reflect again.

January 2009: Trip Around the Country!

Spent the first month of the year going around states in the country!

Went to Genting Highlands. Went to Desaru. Started my first life-changing Forex journey with Orange Roshan and the SRDCโ€™ians in KL. Relatives came over to visit us in Johor Bahru. We also paid our Singaporean relatives a visit during Chinese New Year.

February 2009: Visit Sydney, Australia!

Met up with my online marketing friend Aurelius Tjin. Attended the Sydney online entrepreneurs gathering. Climbed the Harbour Bridge. Visited the Three Sisters. And did a whole lot more fun stuff while I was here for one whole week!

March – April 2009: Gadget Pimping and GIS Penang

This was probably the most challenging time for me. Broke up with my ex-girlfriend and as it is my first relationship, well, I took it rather badly and bitterly. Got back in… and got a strike-out again! ๐Ÿ™ Sucks to the max.

I was still primarily based in Johor Bahru at this point, and I wanted to start anew. Figured being busy with something else would keep me occupied from heartache so I went on a personal โ€˜make overโ€™. Hmm… found out shopping isnโ€™t such a bad thing either. ๐Ÿ™‚

Pimped myself up with new gadgets โ€“ Playstation 3, new custom suit, got my own car (and gave the Myvi to my mom). Plans were underway to move to PJ to start anew.

Right about the same time, I was invited as a main speaker to speak for the Global Internet Summit event in Penang.

May 2009: Mega Red Packet and Moving to PJ

Pulled off the mega product launch finally, after six months of working on the Mega Red Packet project! ๐Ÿ™‚ More than $300,000 in total sales in 10 days! It was exhaustive, but I had to move on to the next phase of life: moving to PJ on my own.

Settled in, bought new furniture and had a house warming party to celebrate with friends a bit. ๐Ÿ™‚

Wild Goose Chase!

Hah! This is another interesting, HUGE highlight of 2009. From the time I met Elle Wong, itโ€™s been a wild goose chase for riches! It almost felt as if we were casted into a movie of our own, like the Indiana Jones version for racing to make lots of moo-lah!

Am I making this up? You decide.

Started off with attending the Millionaire Mind Intensive 3-day seminar in The Mines, KL…

The very next day after the seminar, we pulled off Brand Dynamics PLR launch together โ€“ making this the first Private Label Rights product to have both male and female voice over. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey, we didnโ€™t stop here though. We hosted the IM Weekend Workshop next. My first time hosting a workshop of my own. Iโ€™m so used to working from home. ๐Ÿ˜›

We didnโ€™t stop here either. NEXT… (how many times did I use that word? LOL)

We went to Singapore to attend a follow-up seminar on MMI called Guerrilla Business Intensive by T Harv Eker.

Oh, not forgetting we met up with Calvin Woon, Patricia Lin and Maritius buddy Jonathan Teng. ๐Ÿ™‚ Jhong Ren tagged along too.

THEN… we pulled off a bigger launch than Brand Dynamics โ€“ called the 7-Day PLR Sale. Did above $50,000 in sales in 7 days in November. Woo Hoo! $ $ $ $ $

Iโ€™ve done better launches but for the work we put in, it was well worth it. Not to mention I was pulling off my โ€˜last minute kingโ€™ here. ๐Ÿ˜›

WE DIDNโ€™T STOP HERE… early this month we went to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah to attend the Orange Roshan SRDC Bootcamp!

WOOOOO HOOOOOOO…! ๐Ÿ˜€

July 2009: Bought My First House!

Lakeview house for Mom and Ashley in Johor. ๐Ÿ™‚ We never had a property of our own before. Where my father had failed to do so for my family, Iโ€™m glad Iโ€™m able to provide!

Right about the same time, I also formed my own company in Malaysia called AMLOH CORPORATION SDN. BHD. Hey, paperwork is insane and I nearly went crazy when I first started it out. The procedures to set up, pay taxes and handling the legalities were highly frustrating and later got the hang out of it.

Oh hey, also visited Bangkok, Thailand ๐Ÿ™‚

August 2009: Jungle Warfare

I think I will be doing this for a long, long time. ๐Ÿ™‚

November 2009: My First Halloween Costume

Thanks to Ashleyโ€™s incredible work in helping me out a bit. ๐Ÿ™‚ Elected best costume at the Mindvalley Mischievious Midnight Minglers!

December 2009: Orang Asli Trip, Ex-DJian Gathering and RYM Xmas Party

The best month was saved for the last of the year! Rejoined the church I used to go to when I was a teenager, I went on a trip to the Orang Asli settlement in Kuantan, Pahang.

Also reunited with old school friends from SMKDJ…

Mmmm, couldnโ€™t find a more suitable pic to describe the gathering in one picture. But hey, Iโ€™m not complaining. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Also the RYM Xmas Party towards the near end of the year…

All in all… itโ€™s been amazing for me. I hope itโ€™s been for you too this year. And I know 2010 holds much more in store for all of us.

Happy New Year (and also congratulations for surviving into the first 10 years of the 21st century LOL)! ๐Ÿ˜€

Iโ€™m Back!

Whoa, it’s been… what? Two months since I last wrote anything on my personal space! Probably took for granted the fact that my Personal Blog is now private. Being more busy than usual prevented me from blogging as frequent as I wanted before.

But hey, I’ve made a mental note to come back and blog on the interesting events that’s happened to me since. And snapping photos along the way helped! ๐Ÿ™‚

Gotta admit – it was a bummer that coincidentally, around the same time I privatized my blog space, I renewed the relationship AND broke up with the same girl. ๐Ÿ™ I should have known better. Then, the heart tells the mind what to do, but the mind can never control the heart.

Alright – from here on, it’s going to be a barrage of blog posts of updates and adventures that I’ve been taking on since! Hang on tight…
