We will be attending the World Internet Mega Summit in the Expo Hall, starting 26th (Saturday) through 29th (Tuesday) May 2007.

Having said that, do expect me to be away for the next few days. I promise to return with updates… and photos. πŸ˜‰

Until then…

NOTE: We will be bunking at the Mercure Roxy Hotel throughout the event so if you’re heading to the same event, you’d probably want to be on a look out for us. πŸ™‚

I Have The Looks of 8 Famous People

Would it be surprising if I told you that I have the looks of 8 famous people – all in one face? Well, it certainly was for me!

Check out the picture below to learn why this is the case:

After running through a quick and fun simulation at MyHeritage.com to find out which famous people I look like, my uploaded photo was scanned and it produced the above results.

The higher my resemblance in facial features to a famous person, the higher the percentage. Here’s what I think:

Alyson Hannigan (73%) – Uhm… who is this?

Takashi Sorimachi (73%) – I didn’t know I look Japanese. Again, I have no idea who this is.

Fujiki Naohito (72%) – I am convinced that I would have probably passed off as a celebrity in Japan. But then again, who is this?

Gong Li (71%) – Woo hoo! I’ve got the looks of Gong Li! πŸ™‚ This is the first famous person in the list that I recognize, though.

Jena Malone (71%) – Now I know why my mom thinks that I don’t look Chinese (even though I am one).

Megumi Hayashibara (68%) – Why do I have a feeling that I was born in the right time but wrong place? Seriously, I might have just passed off as an Idol or a Celeb… if I were born in Japan.

Audrey Tautou (66%) – Okay, either I DON’T look Chinese OR there are little or no famous Chinese people. πŸ˜›

Mark Bautista (66%) – Seriously, is this REALLY a list of famous people? The only famous figure I recognize of the 8 is Gong Li. Unless of course, it’s because I rarely watch TV.

While it’s fun to know I have the looks of 8 (presumably) famous people (ego booster!), too bad I don’t have the fame of these 8 people combined! πŸ˜‰

Check Out My Caricature

A few days ago, I visited an art website and purchased a caricature to resemble me. πŸ™‚

I made my payment online and submitted my (not so good) photo. I got my caricature done within 24 hours or so.

Since the artist drew the caricature to resemble me in the photo – and my eyes were almost closed when I snapped an instant photo at the photoshop (on several tries) – this is how the caricature turned out:

Did I mention that it was one of those bad hair days, too? 😐 Fortunately, I’m better looking in real-life. πŸ™‚

Still, it was a cute artwork and I would definitely be using it in some of my mini sites and maybe E-Covers, where suitable. πŸ˜‰ It’s already displayed on my MSN Messenger as my avatar.

You might want to get your own, too. I got mine at http://www.draw-me.com/ for only thirty seven bucks.

Selangor Revisited

It’s Labor Day today. One of those few special days in a year when working folks are spared from the drudgery of working around the clock.

But I’m still in the office as I am typing this.

Believe me, when you’re working at hours you please – and have great passion for what you do – you will no longer want to look forward to the next holiday on the calendar.

Seeing that this is the third post to my new Personal Blog, I’d like to share a little more about myself with you.

You see, it’s funny how many Malaysians bore this misconception that:

MYTH: I am a Johorean.

FACT: I have a home in Johor Bahru, but my original hometown is in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Dig? πŸ˜‰ We got that out of the way finally.

I was staying in the town area of J.B. for the last 2-3 years until recently, I was given an apprenticeship offer from one of the leading Internet Entrepreneurs in my country.

While most of the apprenticeship details are confidential, it involved me relocating my workstation for the next 6 months at the least, 1 year at the most – depending on the project workload and how well the partnership progresses.

Incidentally, this place I will be heading to is only 5-10 minutes away from my hometown so this is also a revisit opportunity for me.

Now that I am back here for the time being, I aim to achieve all of the following goals:

1. To learn as much as possible. I have to admit that I was pretty fortunate and lucky to have been offered a chance to learn from someone else who is already doing and achieving what I want to do – and at a small price. Not many people had been given such a lucrative opportunity, which is why I am very bend on making the most out of it. Because I know that no amount of money in the world could possibly replace the priceless education and wisdom that awaits me in the 6 months to a year to come.

2. To meet new people. Personally, I crave anonymity and as it may come as a surprise, I don’t fancy the idea of being seen in a crowd. But I know that if I were to always stay at home, I would be missing out on a lot of things in life.

3. Take my crack shot at executing my first 6 figure launch. I have executed 6-figure launches on 2 different occassions before… in Ringgit Malaysia only, though. Don’t get me wrong: the money’s good. However, I’d like to step up and explore the limits of my marketing power – and funnel them into executing my first 6-figure launch in US Dollars for a change. πŸ˜›

These are just some of the many goals I have in mind and heart, but you get the idea. πŸ˜‰

Ultimately, I will want to take a nice retreat to J.B. at the end of the ordeal, and later accept the new challenges in wherever my next adventure would take me to.

So do check back often. Because the next couple of days, I’d like to introduce to you some of the key people in my Internet Marketing career. They’re interesting people, really.

Until then…

From the Keyboard of Edmund Loh…

Hi,

I think that at this time of writing, not many people would be visiting this blog as it is fairly new. I got it set up only some days ago, with a steep learning curve to overcome.

However, this is going to be one of the most nostalgic moments for my main online journal, which I would probably come back and refer to in the near future now and then – perhaps to compare how much things have changed. Who knows?

So allow me to lay the ground stuff of what is going to be my main online journal:

Even though I have been marketing online since early 2005 – and have achieved considerable success, if I must say so myself – I have not really shared much of any insights into my personal life, Internet Marketing career aside.

You could say I’m pretty conservative sometimes.

Many Internet Marketers assume I am a robot because I have been known to produce new Private Label products in the Internet Marketing arena non-stop without resting. And every time I run into an old friend, I have to spend long hours (or even days) to spill out my adventure in the last 4 years.

Through this blog, I will slowly unravel my story and keep you updated on where my latest adventure takes me.

Whether you’re an Internet Marketer, an old friend from my old school days, or even an admirer of mine. πŸ˜‰

Year 2007 marks the Expansion Era for me and my business, and I am moving at a pace faster than before. I have never moved this fast in my Internet Business before, so this is going to be a challenge – with worthwhile rewards that will pay in huge dividends. (How many people are still thinking about their New Year resolution at this time of the year?)

Incidentally, this is also what my online journal will be about.

Before I chalked up this post, I saw some comments rolling into my “test post”. Believe me, it was a real encouragement, knowing that many blogs out there are often “dull and boring”.

Over time, I will be adding more and more stuff to this blog – and I hope that you would check back often.

That’s it for now. Thanks for dropping by – and please visit me again! πŸ™‚

Warm Regards,
Edmund Loh
